Hospital Food Review Expert Panel members confirmed

Phil Shelley, Chair of the NHS Hospital Food Review, has announced the members of the Expert Panel, one of the essential recommendations of the Review in order to drive change across NHS hospital catering.

The details were confirmed at today’s Virtual Series Seminar from HEFMA and the Hospital Caterers Association, which focused on the next stops for the Hospital Food Review, with particular emphasis on food waste and staff training/development.

The Expert Panel is a multi-disciplinary group comprising the following professionals:

Clinician

• Dr Maeve Tierney: University Hospital Southampton

Dietitians

• Noor Al Refae: Cheswold Park Hospital (Forensic Mental Health) 

• Katherine Crossfield: Leeds Teaching Hospital

Nurses

• Stephanie Tempest: Mid Yorkshire Hospital NHS Trust

• Debra Armstrong: Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

• Jenny Clarke: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Caterers

• Kim Beevers: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

• Lisa Wright: Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust

• Tim Radcliffe: East Lancashire Hospital

• Julie Allison: Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital

• Nicola Strawther: Nottingham University Hospital

• Iain Robertson: Solent NHS

• Emma Wilson: Sheffield Teaching Hospital

• Jane Owen: Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust Hospital

Prue Leith and Dr Rupy Aujla will also be part of the Expert Group.
