The programme for the 2023 National Leadership Forum is now available

Hosted this year by the London & South East Branch, the Forum returns to the unique Doubletree by Hilton, Milton Keynes from May 24 – 26, and you can book your delegate place here.

The theme for this year’s Forum has been chosen with great care to reflect, in a positive way, the period of change that healthcare is undergoing as the NHS emerges from the pandemic into a new system, underpinned by the need to approach the delivery of services in a different way with system-wide collaboration as a core priority.

The Forum will open with a keynote from Dr Suzy Walton who is no stranger to embracing change, having gone from a career on the West End stage to psychologist with the Ministry of Defence and a stint at the Cabinet Office, with other former roles including board member of Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the government’s Science Advisory Council. ‘Leadership and Navigating Uncertainty’ is the theme for her presentation.

Amar Latif, Forum’s motivational speaker, has also had to learn to embrace change. Having lost 95% of his vision at the age of 19, Amar refused to let blindness prevent him from pursuing a successful corporate career, and indulging his passion for travelling. Unlocking the possibilities of looking at the world in a different way is his theme, in ‘Obstacles I Cannot See’.

The Forum programme will reflect and explore how E&F within the NHS is changing, how it needs to transform services, and how our E&F teams will lead a better future for patient care. Other sessions will drill into more detail around Integrated Care Systems, capital, national objectives, transformation of services, the workforce and standards, delivered by experienced NHS professionals:

• Nick Hulme, Chief Executive, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust

• Geoff Neild, Programme Director, Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

• Andy Harrison, Senior Responsible Officer, Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

• Alison McCree, Managing Director, Synchronicity Care Limited
