HEFMA, in conjunction with IHEEM, IFHE, IFHE-EU and the Carbon Energy fund, has commissioned a Best Practice Guide to assist Trusts in meeting the Net Zero Carbon targets set out in the NHS strategy ‘Delivering a ‘Net Zero’ National Health Service’.

‘A Healthcare Engineering Roadmap for Delivering Net Zero Carbon’ builds on previous work and sets out a clear three staged approach to decarbonising NHS Estates.

The guide has been developed and reviewed by experts from across industry and the NHS. It draws on real NHS project experience as well as reviewing emerging and future technologies and explores how Trusts can develop strategies that decarbonise now, whilst simultaneously preparing for future innovation.

A complimentary copy of the document is being circulated to all members and can also be downloaded from the Knowledge Base section of this website (logged-in members only). A supporting webinar event is planned for April 14, in conjunction with the Carbon Energy Fund and hosted by IHEEM. Registration details for this event will be circulated shortly.
