The inspection visit took place on September 8 - 17, 2020. This was a focused inspection of three of the Trust’s eight acute core services relating to specific risks. The previous ratings given to Aintree University Hospital Trust, prior to the acquisition of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in October 2019 are still applicable to Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This short notice announced inspection focused on elements of the safe and well-led domains in urgent and emergency care services, surgical services and medical services on both the Royal Liverpool Hospital and Aintree University Hospital sites. . The inspection resulted in a detailed list of areas for improvement.
