Birmingham Children’s Hospital feedback app

Birmingham Children’s Hospital has recently launched a feedback app, the first of its kind in the NHS.

After identifying that its existing
methods, such as feedback cards, were
failing to appeal to its young patients the hospital decided
to create a more effective method.

The free app gives patients the opportunity to give feedback about their experience at the hospital, revolutionising the way they receive and respond to this information.

It has been designed to make it quicker and easier to send thoughts and comments directly to the ward or area visited with the simple click of a button.

Going directly to the manager in charge, the hospital reports that the feedback is addressed straight away.

The app comes as part of the commitment made by Birmingham Children’s Hospital to be open and transparent.

The feedback and responses are published on BCH’s website for other patients and visitors to read.

Last year the app was recognised as a winner at the PRWeek Awards in London.
